It was a trip to the airport!

It was a trip to the airport!, originally uploaded by Poodlematic.
The brushing and perfume was worth it. He let us go in the car and we drove to the airport and waited for a few minutes and then he took us out the car and then there were two of our human pack! And we went ballistic and Poodle jumped and went from one to the other. We like the airport trips where people appear. The other type of airport trip is not as much fun.

Mia goes climbing

I was very lucky this weekend because I went with my mom in the car and we went to see Charlie again and we went with another she humutt that is the sister of my mom. The highlight of the weekend was when we went walking and we went up a hill to see the town but there were sooooooo many new nice smells for me. I smelled some strange animal poo that belongs to something called a 'bokkie'. There were also some Dassies that I wanted to chase but the humutts would not let me. I havenot seen a Dassie before and I can not describe it here because I can not compare it to anything I have seen before but if you are a canine you will definitely want to chase one. I will try and chase them another time when the humutts are not looking. We are at home now and it is nice to be home but I am looking forward to my next adventure with my mom.

Mia's Klein Karoo Adventure

Last weekend my mom and I got into our car and went to visit some humutts and doglets in a place called Laingsburg. We left early on Saturday morning (the 29th May) and drove and drove and drove. As you can see from this picture that my mom took, I was so excited and could not sit down at all. I wanted to see EVERYTHING!

Then we stopped at a padstal for a break and a run around. There was so much to see and smell and explore and I ran around like an excited Poodle - which is a lot!

My mom took this photo of a mountain with something called 'first snow of the season'. I actually have no idea what this might mean to me as neither Babette or I have been introduced to this 'snow' thing.

This is me in the garden at the humutt's house in Laingsburg. They are very nice humutts and they are looking after Charlie, my estranged doglet brother. If you are wondering, Charlie and I are step-children and do not have the same birth parents.

Here I am with Charlie. He is looking very old and has lots of grey hair in his coat. I overheard that his eyesight is also a bit iffy. It was nice to see the grumpy doglet after such a long time.

Here I am chasing the doglet of the Laingsburg humutts. It's a good action picture don't you think? This is how I spent most of my weekend - chasing doglet around the garden. Wow - it was fun!

We headed back for Cape Town on Sunday afternoon. I stayed up as long as I could to see how the journey looked in reverse but then I got tired and went to sleep; dreaming of chasing doglets...

Another trip in the magic moving box

We don't often get to try these magic boxes with the strange doors that make everything change when they open but today we went to visit our humans in Bantry Bay and we were so excited to see them, we jumped and pranced and rubbed hello and then I went into the big bedroom and made a pee on a strange blue patch of grass coz I was so excited and then we were made a fuss of and then I found a small white teddy with a red ribbon and then it was taken away and then our Bantry Bay human gave it to me to play with, so Babette and I broke it's arm.

Thank you Bantry humans for the love and attention and our little white baba-beertjie.

Our outing to the other side of the bay

Yesterday our humans took us in the big car to see the lovely humans that live in the building with the magic box with the slidey doors that also goes up and down and makes everything new when the doors open again. We had such fun there.

Of course, we were adored and hugged and stroked and adored some more; and as Poodles, this is what we enjoy the most. Just as well that Mia and I had been to the parlour on Thursday. Our ribbons even matched the Aunty Leslie human's clothes! We all looked so smart together.

Mia was brave and stood close to the edge of the balcony and she growled at humans walking in the street way below. She may have thought they were C.A.T's or some other little animal as they looked so small - smaller than she is used to seeing them.

We got some white bread and also some nutty bread to eat which was yummy - thanks Aunty Leslie human!

After the humans had finished barking together, we went back in the magic box and somehow arrived back at the big car. Then our humans took us for a lovely walk-walk in a different place to where we normally go. They call this place Sea Point Promenade (which reminds me of Pomeranian in a funny way). There were lots of people and lots of them looked at us and told us how pretty we were and how loved we must be (for those that don't know, a condition of Poodles accepting humans into their pack is that we get the most love of all).

Our humans had some human food and we had to lie patiently under the table. After they finished eating we walked some more and met a groups of lady humans that made such a fuss of us. I barked at a humanlet and then we went in the big car again and made our way home.

We were so thirsty when we got home but it was a fun day out. We slept a lot in the afternoon.

Monday's Poodle outing

This morning we got taken to Milnerton Library for our exercise. On the way, we stopped off at the Pot Factory sale. While we were alone in the car, Mia and I kept jumping around to set off the car alarm. How funny! The security guard was going spare!

We had a nice run in the field behind the library. We ate quite a bit of grass, chased each other and wee'd in several spots.

The pictures were taken on the way home.
