I'm not trying to hide any feathers!

With all the rain we've been having, our humutts keep our kibble inside to stop it from spoiling. This makes it difficult for our feathered friends to come and feast on our food.

Can you believe it: not once, but twice - TWICE - last week we were accused of terrorising, chasing and eating birds. The dead birdlet that was outside by the pool just dropped out the sky. Honestly! It musta had a heart attack or something while it flew over our yard.

And these things on the floor are not from a bird at all. They are dust bunnies from under the furniture that just LOOK like feathers.

Really. Placing the blame on a Poodle Princess is shameful. Butter would be eaten straight away wouldn't melt in our mouths.

Shorn; like a sheep

We were dropped at the parlour yesterday and were there for 7 hours! What's up with the parlour and these long sessions? Anyway, the humans were a bit taken aback when we came out looking this this, my human mom especially... It seems our leg fur was a bit matted and so the best course of action was to shave it off.

You can see our skinny leggies. And check out my sparkly eyes! And check my puffy ears!

The walking human seems to think this hairdo is better for beach walks, especially with the warmer weather coming and our tendency to dash into the sea. Winter isn't quite over so we'll need to curl into tight Poodle sleeping balls for a week or so.

The broken plastic talking thingy

On Tuesday this week, there was a 'mishap' on our regular afternoon walk. As usual, Mia and I were trying to get the beach as quickly as possible; we are always so excited to be on a walk. As we approached the beach, our walking human twisted his paw on a rock in the sand and fell. I think we managed to drag him in the sand for a bit - kind of like our cousins the Husky dogs do in that funny white stuff.

The walking human then found that the little plastic talking thingy that is kept in a pocket was broken. He wasn't very happy. Mia and I stood there and looked at him with our Poodle faces, wondering why our beach walk had come to a sudden stop. The human was testing his paw to see if he could walk on it. Luckily for us, the paw was ok and we had a slow walk on the beach and back home.

What do those plastic talking things do anyway? I just know the walking human said something about not being able to take good quality photos or videos with the thingy goes away for a bit.
