The risotto mystery

The risotto mystery, originally uploaded by Poodlematic.

Why are we the first to be blamed when food goes missing? He was defrosting todays Poodle risotto and then put it on the outside table with our bowls ready to dish up and then he left everything to do something else.

The fact that he couldn't find the container of food and that we both had food over our muzzles up to our eyes does not necessarily mean we are the culprits. Those doves are cunning you know! Those holes in the plastic look like savage peck marks to us...

Poodle risotto, the first tasting

Mia really wasn't expecting this food. She ate it very quickly and licked the bowl clean. I ate mine slower than she as I prefer to enjoy every bite. As it was cooked at my house last night I got a little taster but this was soooo much better with lots of meaty chunks. And we ate all the vegetables! It is nice having pet humans to do things as we wish. Babette

My pics are always blurry

This is me eating my boiled egg and my head is all blurry because I eat so fast and I am faster than the camera!

I'm not trying to hide any feathers!

With all the rain we've been having, our humutts keep our kibble inside to stop it from spoiling. This makes it difficult for our feathered friends to come and feast on our food.

Can you believe it: not once, but twice - TWICE - last week we were accused of terrorising, chasing and eating birds. The dead birdlet that was outside by the pool just dropped out the sky. Honestly! It musta had a heart attack or something while it flew over our yard.

And these things on the floor are not from a bird at all. They are dust bunnies from under the furniture that just LOOK like feathers.

Really. Placing the blame on a Poodle Princess is shameful. Butter would be eaten straight away wouldn't melt in our mouths.

Triangulation 'Point'

We are demonstrating geometry, Poodle style. Draw a straight line from one cold Poodle nose to the eggs. The draw another straight line from the other cold Poodle nose to the eggs. Lastly, draw a straight line between the two Poodle noses.

Voila - a triangle!

Can you spot the pigeon?

Not only is Mia a good guard dog but true to our lost Poodle heritage, she is intent on catching her own (flying) supper! The Wood Pigeons and doves eat our kibble, but only if they get past the every watchful eye of my sister. In this photo, can you spot the Poodle watching the bird?

Just add egg

More for those interested in Poodle behaviour. Watch us magically make egg yolk on kibbles disappear in just over a minute!
