Someone came to visit.

Look what my human mom found in the upstairs room! It's a little flying thing. Similar to the ones that eat the seed in the bird feeder but this one has a long beak. I wonder what it is? Are they edible?

Are these long beaked chickens?

I found three of these on my morning weepoo walk today. I'm not normally very observant on my walks but these huge chicken things make a dreadful racket and are big enough to notice, even for an unobservant Poodle!

My human calls them a 'Hadeda'. I think my sister Mia would love to chase one of these.

A hairy worm thing

I came across two interesting things on this morning's weepoo walk. The first was a dead dove, which looked like a C.A.T had done it's thing first. The second was this hairy worm thing on the road which I wanted to sniff but I wasn't allowed to get too close. I don't know why I couldn't sniff it because it looks kind of interesting to bite.

Vlermuisie update

It looks like the little bat isn't going to make it. When we went on our walk this afternoon he was lying on the hot driveway and still there (though in a different position), when we came back.

We gave Vlermuisie some water by dropping it on the ground in front of him and he seemed to drink a bit. The human then placed him in a small tree to at least get him out of the way of cars and other animals.

Good luck, Vlermuisie!

Look at what I found when Babette and I went on our walk yesterday afternoon. It's a tiny bat - about 6-7 cm in length. We don't know what type of bat it is and we really did want to investigate it a bit more but our walking human thought it looked tired or something and wouldn't let us play with it. Vlermuisie - we'll look out for you today, OK?
