We are still posting, just not much on here..
Tumblr has proven to be easier for us to use on a whim, especially from our phone - which is where we do a lot of our posting from these days. Our latest Tumblr posts can be seen in the widget box on the right.
Spoomatic is our Tumblr blog - feel free to have a look!

It's mid winter, but it's like summer
Gym or beach walk with the girls? Poodles win!

Of course I can walk in a straight line, I'm a Poodle!
Our humans got us winter jackets. They are tartan but we are not Scottish. Which is funny because we have seen Scottish dogs on our walks amd their hair reaches the floor and they look like they are hovering.
Here I am demonstrating how to do what should more correctly be known as 'strutting one's stuff on the dogwalk'.
Not that I am not hovering because really, I don't understand that concept and I am also not Scottish.

Alpha female apologises
She came and licked my face to say sorry. I am still eating kibble and she is lying down watching me. The humans made a fuss over me and she knows she went a bit overboard.

We are tired and hot
Our humans took us walking when we went to Laingsburg last weekend. Laingsburg is a small town/village in the Karoo with not much in it. The Karoo is a large area with not much in it either.
It was my first time climbing up rocks. My sister Mia is smaller and lighter than me and she climbs like a mountain goat. My humans had to take me up a more gentle slope.
We climbed up a Koppie. In the language our humans speak, this means a small head, or a hill. Which is strange. Because I have now climbed up a head.
But it is was fun and there were lots of interesting smells. And huge piles of poo from either bokkies or dassies. And there were bones lying around which is very thoughtful for Poodle climbers.
When we got to the top, we needed to rest. Then we went home.

Babette and Mia rest on the ridge between 2 koppies, Laingsburg. First time hill-walking for Babette. Mia was a mountain goat in a previous life...

A different beach
Probably the humans were all at those large buildings where they go in empty handed and walk out with food.
This sign tells the humans not to swim but there were lots of humans in long rubber bags standing on things and moving with the waves. Isn't that swimming?

We like to chase each other
